Whenever you play with him use the appropriate toys and praise him whenever he used them. Do not ever hurt him, if in case he does something wrong. What a puppy usually do comes naturally he has no idea of what is wrong and right until he is taught in the right manner. His excitement should be controlled on his first week so do not let all the family and friends come to see him all at once. Ask them to visit in two or threes.
If you are working and he might be alone at times you need to get him used to it. You can train him by not rushing to him immediately if he wakes up and starts whining. You need to ask the veterinarian when he will be ready to socialize with other dogs. Once you know when you can now schedule his socialization classes and training.
These rules, training and schedules are very important for making your healthy and well adjusted to her environment.
